Review
Tall Paul's club-pleasing fusion of trance, breakbeat house, and garage is covered to full effect on his first major collection, Duty Free. More eclectic dance fans may find Paul's mixing style (or practical lack thereof) a bit bland; there are a few too many, and too easily foreseen, percussion climaxes -- at least two per track -- and the mix rarely varies from his chosen styles. Still, Tall Paul's track selection is quite good, leading off with "Stomping System" by JS16 and moving through tracks by Robbie Rivera, Camisra, DJ Lottie, and two by himself (two separate mixes of "Be There"). ~ John Bush
